"Just a matter of being a human being..."

An article on PDN details the aftermath of an August 2 attack in southern Lebanon in which photojournalists put down their cameras and helped rescue stranded civilians. Polaris photographer Timothy Fadek said of the rescue effort, "In south Lebanon there is an absolute nonexistence of rescuers. It's a matter of just being a human being... You're there to help another person. It's a no-brainer, it has to be done."
