Conversation with Mitch Epstein

Joerg Colberg has a conversation with Mitch Epstein, chock full of little gems like Epstein saying "I never pick my projects, my projects inevitably pick me. I don't mean that glibly. I've learned to listen to what moves and troubles me, and that leads me to where I have to go next."

If you're not familiar with Mitch Epstein, you should start with his Recreation work. It's one of my favorite books because the photos are as beautiful as they are quirky, and the slice of Americana he captures is priceless.
