The Rocky Mountain News Rumors are swirling that The Rocky Mountain News, which is currently for sale, will close "as soon as is practical". The Rocky Mountain News has produced some very highly regarded photography in recent years, including Pulitzer Prizes in 2000, for their coverage of The Columbine Massacre; 2003, for their wildfire coverage; and in 2006, for the Final Salute Project. The Final Salute Project also earned a Pulitzer in the feature writing category.
